Attention is called to Augarde & Co.'s miscellaneous sale to-morrow, including a sailing boat, horses, Hamburg fowls, and two quarter-acres at Wadestown. To-morrow Mr. Sidey will offer to public auction 115 sections of building land, described as principally business sites, and situated close to the railway Btation at Featherston. Mr* Sidey has also a sale of valuable shares to-morrow in several local companies, which is expected to test the market pretty well as to the real value of these investments. The auction commences at 1.30 p jn. The sad calamities that have of late befallen so many thousands of our fellow-creatures should dispose our governing powers to use such precautions as may in the future prevent their reourrence.
