ON MONDAY, 29th APRIL, 1878, Will be issued the first number of "THE NEW ZBALANDER," A new Daily Morning Journal. PRICE ONE PENNY. A LTHOUGH published at a price which J\. will place it within reach of all readers, " The New Zealander " will be the same size as the leading papers of Dunedin., Christchurch, and Auckland. It will contain thirtytwo columns ot matter, and will be the largest paper 1 üblished in Wellington, and no effort will be spared to render it at least equal to any journal published in the colony. Politically, "The New Zealakder" will advocate liberal views ; will endeavor to become the exponent of national sentiments on all colonial questions, and will carefully guard and support local interests. Its leading columns will command tbe aid of able and experienced writers; its news columns will afibrd an exhaustive and reliable record of current events; its correspondence columns will always be impartially open to the temperate discussion of subjects of public interest ; and it will afford its readers lull telegraphic information, both irom ordinary sources and from special correspondents regarding all events of interest elsewhere. Accurate, unbiassed, and impartial reports of Judicial, Parliamentary, and other public proceedings will be a special feature in " The New Zealander."
