Iv tho Appeal Court to-day. Judge Johnston upheld the generally received view that the Tippliog Act of George 11. is in force in the colony. The Act precludes recovery lor liquor in less quantities than 20s. worth. H 2-jth April. | Bates, Size, and O>., as attorneys for Perry DaM?, have instituted proceedings in the bupreine Court against one Wilkin as manufacturer of painkiller said to be an imitation of Perry David's patent. The other defendauts are Wilkin's sub-agents, Messrs. Hayman and i Co. and Langc and Thoneman. An ex parte j motion was waived to give the defendants an I opportunity of being heard.
