TAURANGA. 29th August.

The Kaimai prospectors have been turned back by the Pererakaus, who threatened violence unless they departed. The natives told the prospectors they were acting under orders from the King. It has since been ascertained that firearms were at hand concealed. Mr. Brabant is away inland, and nothing will be done till his return. There is a threatened intertribal disturbance at Ohiuemutu between the Ngatiwhakau and Ngatirangi Wewehi.
