TAURANGA. 26th August.

The Bay of Plenty Times has a lengthy article reviewing the land purchase operations of Davis and Mitchell in the Bay of Plenty and Taupo districts. It recommends the Native Land Court to be brought into operation to settle all land transactions now suspended, with the exception of the Maketu lands, which latter are exceptional, and demand separate dealing. It names C. O. Davis and Mitchell as proper men for the completion of the title of the Maketu lands.
