Messrs Cargill, Gibbs, and Co. have received the following wool telegram, dated London, 11th August":— The total quantity of wool catalogued this series comprise- 380,0<)0 bales. Bulk sold very low, but during the last fortnight the market was very firm. Prices for grease' 'show an average rise of Id to l^d ; washed fleece, avi rage rise l£d to 3d ; scoured, averkge rise 2d, compared with lowest ratps. present series rise unexpected, and stability doubtful, as the general state of the trade leaves much to he desiml.
