Sailed. — 3.45 p.m., Aihaubra, for Dunedin. > Christchurch, *21st August. The NewZealaud Shipping Company have received telegraphic advices that the ship Rangitikei, from London, made a smart passage to London of 78 days ; and that the Otaki, from the: Bluff, arrived prior to th 3 11th August; also that the following vessel* sailed in July :—: — < >rari, fur Auckland ; Howrah, for Wellington ; Waimate, for Canterbury; White Eagle, for OtagO. And that the following vessels were loading: — Jessie Osborno, for Auckland; Rangitikei. for Lytteltou; Ocean Mail, for Wellington; 'Avon, for Otago; Waitara, for Bluff. Wanoanui, 22ud August. Arrived.— 9.4s a.m., Manawatu, from Wellington; 10.15 a.m., Stormbird, from Wellington.
The s.s. Tui left Foxton at 11.30 a.m. yesterday, and arrived iv our harbor at 10.15 last night. She sails for the West Coast, via Foxton, this evening. The s.s. Wellington arrived in our harbor at 8.30 this morning. She left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Lyttelton at noon on Sunday; sailed again at 5* o'clock last evening, and arrived here as above. The Wellington was docked at Port Chalmers for cleaning, &c. Sha sailed for Northern ports-fit 2.15 this afternoon. The topsail schooner ZievCaptain Norman, left Oamaru jm^gfurday, an j arr i ve( i { n our harbor. l*Et~ night. She brings a cargo of '•QiOuial produce. Pliuimer, Reeves, and Co. are her agents. The s.s. Tnupo arrived in harbor at 3.10 this afternoon. She left the Manukau on Saturday, Taranaki on Sunday, Nclsou at 9.30 yesterday moruiug. and Picton at 10 o'clock this morning, arriving here as above. She was detained at the latter port owing to a den«e fog. Her sailing South has been postponed till 5 o'clock this evening. The s.s. Rangatira, from Poverty Bay and Napier,. arrived in pur harbor at 3.45 this afternoon^ Shs left Napier at 11 a.m. yesterday, and experienced heavy head sea. She leaves again tor the East Coast at 4 p m. to-morrow. The schooner Unity, which ran in to Lyttelton recently in a disabled condition, after receiving some slight repairs iv that port, will leavo for, Wellington, where she will be thoroughly overhauled. The s.s. Clyde came oft Messrs Coffey and Dixon's slip y< sterday afternoon. Her repairs are now almost fini>hed, and by to-morrow she will be ready for sea. The ship Sarah Bell cleared the Heads at 8 o'clock this morning for Newcastle. The schooner Aurora, for Kaipara, took her departure last evening. The steamers Manawatu and Stortnbird sailed for Wanganui last evening — the former at 5, and the latter at 6. The Manawatu arrived there at 9.45 and the Storm bird at 10.15 this morning. Both steamers leave for Wellington to-night' about 10 .' o'clock, and should arrive here before 11 to-morrow mcrning. The s.s. Arawata, from Melbourne, via the South, will arrive here early to-morrow morning. She leaves Lyttelton for Wellington this evening. ' ¦ The s.s Kiwi left Napier at 5 o'clock last evening, and should arrive here to-night. ¦The ' barque Australind sailed for Newcastle this afternoon.
