On the passage of the Alharabra from Wellington to here, a steerage passenger from HoI kitika for Melbourne, named G. B. Gordon, supposed to be a chemist, was missed. The ship was searched, but no trace of the man could be found. It is supposed he jumped overboard. Money and other articles of value were among his effects.
