DRUNK. James M'Cullogh, Thomas Robinson, and Jonn Mellon, were punished in the usual manner, for having- been-drunk and inenpabfe. AN IMAGINATIVE INDIVIDUAL. John Skean was charged with bring drunk and disorderly. He said he was drunk and incapable, but not. disorderly. He was found crawling about the street on his hands and feet. He fancied himself a bull-dog. Fined os or In default 24 hours' imprisonment. ' A VIOLENT BEAST. Daniel Egan was charged with assaulting Mary Green. Mr. Gordon Allan prosecuted. Prisoner, who appeared to be under the inftuenjfcof liquor, pleaded not guilty. Prosecutrix deposed that prisoner had at one time married an aunt of hersj at that time he was going by the name of Daniel O'Driscoll; prisoner had lately been trying to get witness' money from her, and when he found he could not do so, lie began to go about her house and drag her about by the hair ; he had also kicked her, and she had to go to a doctor ; prisoner would think nothing of swearing a person's life away if he thought he could get anything by it j he had'given her brandy, in the hope that she would get drunk and then, sign cheques in his favor.
