CRICKET. Government Printing Office v. Lyon and Blair's.
A cricket match was played on the Albion Ground on Saturday, between elevens from the Government Printing Office and Messrs. Lyon and Blair's establishment, and resulted in a victory for the former by five runs and two wickets. The following are the scores :—: — ' ;

THE ATHLETIC CLUB'S SPORTS. The Athletic Club sports, of which we recorded the commencement on Saturday, were carried on during the remainder of the day, not concluding until near sunset. There .was a very good attendance, about 800 paying at the gate. Lord and Lady Normanby were among the spectators. The remaining events on the programme were decided as follows :—: — Hop Step and Jump. — Prizes, 30s. and 103. Afery, 1 (38ft. 9in.) ; H. Thompson and Avery divided the paizes, the highest jump being 5 feefc. Handidap Hurdle-Race (120 yards).— Prizes, 40s. and 205.. Ist Heat — Major (8 yards), 1 ; A.
