The Union Company's s.s. Taupo, Captain Jas. Macfarlane^ arrived at the wharf at 10.25 this morning. She left Port Chalmers nt 4 p.m. ori fhe 29tu ultimo, with light head winds nnd considerable easterly sea, arid arrived at Lyttelton at 9.30 a.m. on the 80th ; left again at C p.m., arriving as above. Experienced, fresh headwinds to Cape Campbell, from thence fine weather. The s.s. Egmont, Captain Irvine, left Wanganui at 11 .30 yesterday morning, experienced strong S.E. wind and heavy sea to Kapiti, and , arrived here at C.30 this morning. The p.s. Lyttelton, from Blenheim, arrived Sn harbor at 1.80 this afternoon.
