■» ■ The s.s. Phoebe, from' Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, arrived here at 8 this morning. She left the hitter port on the 27th, and Lyttelton at 3.40 yesterday afternoon. While at Port Chalmers she was taken into dock and overhauled. ' .The s.s. Ladybird, Captain Andrews, from Picton, Nelson, Taranalri, and Manukau, arrived in harbor at 6 this morning. She Jeft Nelson at 9 a.m. yesterday, and Picton at midnight. The s.s r Otago, Captain Calder left Sandridge on the 20th, and arrived at Hokitika at 5 p.m. ■on the 20th: arrived at Nelson at 10.30 a.m. on the 2tJth,iand left again at 9.80 ajm. yesterday, arriving here at 11.30 last night. The Rangatira left for Napier last night. The schooner Ruby, Captain Dalton, is advertised to sail for Kaikoura oa Thursday next. The s.s. Napier left Foxton at 9 a.m. on Sunday, made Kapiti at 6 p.m. : left at-8 last night, and anchored in Ohau Bay at 5 this morning; left at 10, -trad arrived in harbor at 1.45 this- afternoon. Experienced a succession of heavy gales. ' The s.s: Stormbird, Captain Doile, crossed the Wanganui bar at 9 a.m. on Sunday. She experienced a heavy gale from the southward, and ran under Kapiti for shelter, where she lay till 8 last night; when ott Terawiti found the tide and sea so much against her that she made for Ohau Bay j got under weigh at 9.30 this morning, and arrived in harbor at 12.30 p.m. to-day. Reports the schooner Reward laying under Kapiti. The p.s. Luna; with timber for the Brothers' Lighthouse, sailed at 1.30 this afternoon.
