i Cltirence Hooper, sm-geoii, has been ' arrested on a charge of perjury:,jconimitted by him in his affidavit with reference to his bankruptcy." 4- . M r. Blackett has reported favorably of the projected scheme of." water-sup-ply for the town, of Wanganui. -He says it can be obtained at a small cost from Lake Virginia. x 10th June. The charge against Dr." -Clarence Hooper for alleged perjury in his affidavit as to . his bankruptcy, came on for hearing this morning, was no evidence for the prosecution, and the charge was finally withdrawn.
