The Haveloek correspondent of the Marlborough Express gives tho following account of the loss nf the Maria Louisa in Queen Charlottes Sound O7i her way from Wanganui :—": — " Jfc was almost a calm at the time, and she had every .stitch of canvas set, when a sudden squall struck her, and she immediately capsized. The captain and crew, "with one lady passenger, saved themselves with the greatest dilficulty, as the boat was lashed on the hatches, but they managed to cut it adrift, and bail it out with the aid of a cask which floated from the wreck. Captain Carstnirs and his crew, as well as passenger, have lost everything, as the vessel went down in twenty-three fathoms of water. She was owned by the captain, and uninsured."
