PERSONAL
A tribute to the work of the late Mr J. H. Williams was made at the meeting of the Springs-Elles-mere Power Board yesterday. The chairman (Mr R. T. McMillan) said that Mr Williams had been a member" for some years, until ill-health caused him to resign. Mr Williams was very keenly interested in the work of the board which had received the benefit of his sound knowledge and wise counsel. He would be missed not only in the community, but by the local bodies with which he had been associated. The board carried a vote of sympathy with Mrs Williams and the family, and also decided to -place on record its appreciation of. the services rendered by Mr Williams.
