MATCH WITH RAKAIA

Last Saturday a very pleasant three-rink match was played between Rakaia and Leeston at Leeston, the home team winning by 73 points to 52. Scores, Rakaia names given first:

Allen, Hanrahan, Harrison, Colgan (s) 15; T. Owens, McConnell, Shave, E. A. Johnson (s) 29.

McNamara, Wilson, Webster, Breach (s) 27; F. Owens, Ebert, Creagh, Eggelton (s) 17.

Shannon (2), Eathorne, Cromie (s) ,10; Bryce, Taylor, Hayes, Jackson (s) 27.

Coming Fixtures On March 15 the Club will send two rinks to Christchurch for the Arthur Rose Bowl match. It will also supply two rinks for the Dickson Bowl match at Christchurch on March 22, and on the same day its champion rink (Jones, Bryce, Creagh and Walker) will compete at Dunsandel. The club's singles and pairs champions will compete at Dunsandel on March 29 and on the same day a return three rink match with Rakaia will be played at Rakaia.
