ST. SAVIOUR'S GUILD
Mrs W. Miller presided over a good attendance at the annual meeting of St. Saviour's Guild held at St. James's vicarage. Miss D. Galpin, secretary, presented the report and balance-sheet. Votes of thanks were passed to tyie president and secretary, to Mrs D. Paterson for her work in connexion with jam collecting for the orphanage and Miss D. Lilley for making and icing the birthday cake.
The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs W. Miller; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. F. Pilkington, W. Lilley and H. J. Greenwood; secretary, Miss D. Galpin; committee, Mesdames E. C. Inwood, M. E. Inwood, A. J. Beamsley, W. Lilley, A. C. Greenwood, M. Home, jun., R. F. Pilkington, Misses D. Galpin, D. Lilley, E. Moorhead, E. Greenwood and G. Greenwood.
Competitions were won by Miss D. Lilley, Mrs M. Inwood; and Mrs A. J. Beamsley. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Harold for the use of her room. LADY GALWAY GUILD Next Friday afternoon the Southbridge Lady Galway Guild will hold its monthly meeting, when supplies of wool will be available for distribution. PERSONAL Miss Bradley, of St. Saviour's Orphanage, has been visiting the district in the interests of the orphanage.
Mr H. J. Rowe, of Wellington, is at" present spending a holiday with his relatives at Southbridge.
