Tai Tapu

THE GOLF CLUB

The annual report of the Tai Tapu Golf Club states that although petrol restrictions and members being called up for military service affected the attendances during last season, it must be considered a fairly satisfactory one. Alterations to the course were completed and the new holes' will be ready for use during the coming season. The membership of the club shows a decline, due to the difficult times. Members are urged to retain their full membership as only by their doing so can the course be preserved for the future. The club's secretary, Mr Jock Mackenzie, recently left for service with the Air Forca overseas. His place will be hard to fill and the club extends to 'him best wishes and looks forward to his return. The opening day of the club will be March 15th.
