PLATOON FOR DOYLESTON

MEETING TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY EVENING

For the purpose of forming a platoon of the Ellesmere Home Guard at Doyleston, a public meeting will be held at the hall, on Thursday evening at 8 p.m., when addresses will be given on the need for the guard and the training work to be done.

Already several Doyleston residents are members of the Leeston unit and it is hoped that -sufficient recruits will be enrolled now that harvest work is practically over, to form at least a platoon at Doyleston.
