A collision between two private cars occurred last evening at the intersection of Marshall's road and the Leeston-Killinchy road. An occupant of one car was slightly injured, but both vehicles were badly damaged.

At Christchurch yesterday, the Armed Services Appeal Board gave its reserved decision in an appeal which it heard at Leeston on Tuesday. This was an appeal by Frederick Arthur Scott on behalf of his son, George Murray Scott. The appeal on the ground of undue hardship was dismissed, and the appeal on the ground of public interest was adjourned sine die.
