"THREE SMART GIRLS GROW UP"
What is said to be the most pleading picture in which Deanna Durbin has ever appeared, "Three Smart Girls Grow Up," will be screened at Leeston Theatre tonight (Friday) and to-morrow (Saturday) "night. She is seen as a girl who tries to straighten out the tangled love affairs of her two old,er sisters, the roles played by Nan Grey and Helen Parrish. %
Deanna sings four songs, beautiful, well-chosen numbers, semiclassick They are "The Last Rose of Summer," "La Capinera," "Invitation to the Dance," and "Because."
But it is not her singing alone that makes Deanna's pictures screen events of the season. Without singing a softg she would probably be voted one of the most popular actresses of the screen.
