The absence of sufficient rain and the prevalence of warm dry winds are having a detrimental effect on growing crops, especially on the lighter lands, while pastures are also being affected. Cool night temperatures, with the thermometer round about freezing point are also adding to the retarding effect of present . conditions! Recent frosts have their presence felt on garden plants.
