At Leeston

FINE DOUBLE PROGRAMME Filmdom's favourite screen sleuth, "Bulldog Drummond," is coming to Leesto'n next Saturday in a thrillpacked story of the efforts of international spies to, capture an amazing military secret and to murder any one who knows too much about their activities! The picture is "Arrest Bulldog nrummond!" with John Howard playing the suave amatuer detective. The story from the pen of H. C. (Sapper) McNeile. traces the campaign of "Drummond" to round up the spies and murderers, hamper*ed as he is by the stubborn opposition of Scotland Yard and his fears that his fiencee, "Phyllis Clavering," will be the next victim. With his usual pertinacity, "Drummond" forges right ahead and follows the ringleaders half way round the world before trapping them in an exciting final sequence. The second feature is "Little Orphan Annie." The loveable child character who has captured the hearts of millions in a comic strip, particularly popular in the United States, comes to life on the screen) in this new comedy drama. With Ann Gillis featured in the title role, the picture relates how a little orphan went to New York, making her way in the world because she is so kind to everybody—^helping the families on the "block," and aiding a young prize fighter, not only to make his mark pugilistically, but romantically as well.
