METHVEN RINKS VISIT

On Saturday four rinks from the Metnven Bowling Club visited Leeston when an enjoyable match was played with the local bowlers under excellent conditions. The result was a win for the home players by 89 points to 60. In the following details, the names of Methven players are given first: —

That is also the day set down for the completion of t^ie first round of the singles and doubles championships. The following will represent Leeston on Saturday in the match to be played with Dunsandel B at Leeston:—Creagh, Owens, Clausen, Jack ton: Creagh, Owens, Clausen, Jackjman (s); Woodard, Taylor, Lowery, Johnson (s); Shave, Fomison, Walk|er and Gwatkin (s).

For the match with Rakaia on the 18th, the following four rinks have been selected: Shave, McConnell, Walker, Gwatkin (s); Sewell, Taylor, Lowery, Johnson (s); Fomisbn, Reid, Jdnes, Jackson (s); Dalley, Owens, Woodard, Clausen (s). Cars will leave the green at 1.45 p.m.
