TWEED—CHAMBERLAIN

The wedding recently took place at the Clarence Road Methodist cWrch, Riccarton, of Myra Adeline, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H. E. Chamberlain, "Capethorne," Ellesmere, and Andrew Vincent, younger son of Mr R. M. Tweed, Burnham, and the late Mrs Tweed. The Rev. H. Cottom, of Springston, performed the ceremony and Mrs Mitchell was organist. Mr Chamberlain escorted his daughter, who chose deep vellum tinted broche satin for her longtrained grown. Tiny buttons trimmed the sleeves and fastened the back, and she wore a veil of embroidered tulle held by a top-knot of orange blossom and carried a bouquet of lilies and stocks. Two maids, Miss Edna Mawson, cousin of the bride, and Miss Nola Chamberlain, the bride's sister, were dressed, alike in frocks of plush coral .chiffon over taffeta. Lacing with narrow velvet ribbon lent a'rf unusual finish. Both carried bouquets of roses and begonias relieved with tulle, to tone with their frocks. Mr R. Robinson, of Maheno, was best man and Mr Alan Badger, of Wellington, groomsman. _■ After the ceremony a reception was held at the Mayfair Lounge, where the guests were received by Mrs Chamberlain, the bride's mother, and Mrs Frew, sister of the bnflegroom. The former chose a navy i ensemble relieved with white and carried a posy of apricot tinted flowers. Mrs Frew was in a grey suit and hat and carried a posy of hothouse flowers. For travelling the bride wore a

smart suit of rich brown and a felt hat trimmed with ostrich tips. Mr and Mrs Tweed will reside at

Burnham
