At the fortnightly meeting of the Ellesmere Druids' Lodge, A,D. Bro. A. A. Croy presided over a good attendance of members.

A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Bro. David Scott was carried in the usual manner.

Sick pay was passed to several members, and two representatives were appointed to attend the next meeting of the Hall Bazaar Committee, to be held on November 14. Tne report from the social committee showed that the dance on show night had been very successful.

Appreciation of'the services rendered to the lodge by P.D.P. Bro. H. R. Barnett, who has left the district, was expressed by P.D.P. Bro. W. G. Pussell, who presented Bro. Barnett with a travelling- rug as a mark of appreciation and goodwill of the members towards him. Bro. Barnett suitably replied and afterwards a social hour was spent.

Mr Irvine G. Smith returned to the West Coast on Saturday after spending three weeks with his parents at Doyleston. Previously he had been a patient in the Greymouth Hospital for a month.
