WORK FOR BEGGARS
An industrial institute for beggars is / to toe established in Madras. A sum of 10,000 rupees (about £770) has been allocated for this purpose by the Health Standing Committee of the Madras Corportion.
The institute will be attached to the beggars' home already in existence. Mat-weaving and basket-weav-ing will be introduced as a start.
