What is believed to be the largest elephant's tusk ever found in Kenya has been secured by Mr Campbell Gillies. It weighs 1891b. and is 9ft. 9in. long. The elephant known to the natives as "the father of elephants," was shot at Voi. A earrav/ay seed biscuit on. which is recorded that in February, 1912, it was awarded as a prize for the highest break in billiards in a London game, is proudly possessed by Mrs M. Youngman, of the Plough and Harrow Hotel, Surbiton.
