PLUNKET BALL

AT LEESTON ON THURSDAY

A social function in Ellesmere which is always looked forward to with much pleasurable anticipation is the annual ball of the Ellesmere Plunket Society. This is due to the splendid arrangements made by the committee of the society for the big annual event and the result is that the ball is always an unqualified success, both financially and socially. This year the society will hold its ball in the Leeston Town Hall on Thursday next, May 5, and the organisers are looking forward to entertaining a large number of guests from all parts of Ellesmere. The music for the dancing will be supplied by a first-class dance band —Jack May bury's orchestra, while the catering arrangements will be up to the high standard mantained in the past. In all other details the committee has endeavoured to meet the wishes of dance patrons, and another enjoyable and successful function is anticipated.
