LONDON, August 14

The Queen, an ardent angler since girlhood, is teaching her elder daughter the art of fishing during their Scottish holiday this month. Every day Princess Elizabeth goes to the waters which run near the estate of Lord Strathmore, the Queen's father, at Glamis Castle.

The Queen is not only an able teacher, but she knows every yard of these waters by heart. When she was her daughter's age—Princess Elizabeth is 11 —she was taught to fish in the same -waters by Lord Strathmore,
