CLEARING SALE
MR GARGETT'S STOCK.
Last Friday Messrs H. Matson and Co. conducted a very successful clearing sale at Lakeside on behalf of Mr J. W. Gargett, who is giving up farming-. There was a good attendance, competition was keen and very satisfactory prices were realised throughout.
Twenty-five dairy cows ranged from £3 10s to £9, an average of about £6 ss, and 15 heifers made £3 lls-. Other sales of interest were: Nine-year mare £26, aged gelding £6, potato digger £29, Potato planter £36, swamp plough £26, binder £36, disc harrow £19, roller £9 10s, corn grinder £7, grass mower £13, hay rake £10, drill £6, tripod chain harrow £6 10s, four-leaf harrow £2 ss, trolley £4, farm drays £4 and £7, four-horse block and chains £3 10s.
