ST. JOHN'S BIBLE CLASS

ENJOYABLE SOCIAL EVENING.

A very enjoyable dance was held at the St. John's Parish Hall, Leeston, on Tuesday eyening, by members of the Bible Class and their friends, and the function was an outstanding success. There was a large attendance- and the room was tastefully decorated with greenery and flowering shrubs. Attractive music was played for the dances by Miss Elaine Coe and Mr L. Coe, while Miss R. Bowden and Mr Ron Townshend assisted with extras. A novelty dance was won by Miss Marie Bongard and Mr B. Hawkins.

Amongst those present were: Mesdames Hanna, Levitt, Mclntyre, Mercer; Misses Grace Smith, Rosa Bowden, Bessie and Marion Stephens, Elaine and Linda Coe, Peggy Mclntyre, Dorothy Beck, Joan Mercer, Doris and Vida Fussell, Nancy Rowley, Connie Cooke, Phyllis and Maisie Brooks, Nora and Nancy Chamberlain, Marie Bongard, May McClure, Jean Coe, Trixie Blakemore, Sadie Bryce, Olive Bryce, Margaret Norquay, Maisie Amyes, Joyce Brown; Rev. E. Hanna, Messrs Harper and Peter Bongard, L. Coe, J. Coe, Jack Brooks, George and Allan Rennie, V. Lewis, A. Eddy, D. Bryce, R. Mercer, Fred Amyes, Bill and Dave Hurford, Cecil Tod, Basil Hawkins, Ron Townshend, Ken Lemon, Ron McCliire, Stan Lemon, Harold Stephens, C. Taylor and Leg Hintz.
