OBITUARY
MRS DAVID JONES.
The announcement of the death of Mrs David Jones, which occurred suddenly at her home at Wellington on Tuesday, was received with deep regret by many friends in this district, especially around Dunsandel, where she had resided for" several years.
Mrs Jones was married in 1898. She was Miss Elizabeth Maginness, daughter of Mr John Maginness, and sister of Mr George Maginness, formerly clerk to the Paparua County Council. For many years she lived with her husband at Dunsandel, where she was a well-known worker for the Methodist Church, but they later went to Christchurch. Both in her church work and privately she was noted for her kindness and hospitality. Mr and Mrs Jones went to Wellington about two years ago and have lived there since then.
There are four daughters, Mrs A. W. Leithead, of Christchurch, Misses Ellen, Hilda and M. Jones; and one son, Mr David Jones, of Dunsandel.
