ANNUAL MEETING OF GOLF CLUB.
A successful year's work was recorded in the report of the Dunsandel Golf Club presented at the annual meeting of members, over which Mr B. W. Shipley presided. The balancesheet showed a credit of £4 12s lOd. Officers elected were:— Patrons, Messrs H. E. Herring, M.P., N. J. Brown and S. Tweedy; president, Mr B. W. Shipley; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Gardiner and H. W. Johnson; joint secretaries, Messrs R. Wright and W. Tweedy; women's committee, Mesdames R. J. Caldwell, W. Gardiner, Bell, and Miss C. Aldridge (with power to add); men's committee, Messrs R. J. Caldwell, R. Buckenham, G. Chatterton, R. Chatterton, K. Skurr and John Walker; club captain, Mr B. W. Shipley; auditor, Mr L. Blair. W.D.F.U. MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Dunsandel branch of the Farmers' Union Women's Division was well attended, Mrs Buckenham presiding. A motion of sympathy was carried with Mrs A. Macpherson and Miss A. Kelly in their bereavement. Sympathy was expressed with Mrs W. Sheat and Mrs Robb in their illness. It was decided to hold a social evening and entertainment shortly and a committee to arrange suitable entertainment was elected. Mr Cocker, the Government poultry instructor, gave a very interesting lecture on poultry raising, and Mrs Buckenham thanked him for the information he had so interestingly given. The competition winners were:— Best collection of vegetables, Mrs A. J. Sheat 1, Mrs J. A. Scott and Mrs Skinner (equal) 2; sultana cake, Miss Christine Aldridge 1, Miss Mavis Mercer 2; best bloom, Miss Ellen Allen and Mrs Chamberlain (equal) 1, Mrs Skinner 2, Mrs J. A. Scott 3. The annual meeting will be held in the Church Hall on April 23. Afternoon tea concluded a very enjoyable meeting.
members of the Allandale-Governor's Bay and Diamond Harbour-Purau branches. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs White, of Little River, was carried. Invitations were received from the Teddington Young Farmers' Club and the Pidgeon Bay W.D.F.U.
It was decided to hold the annual meeting on April 21.
Mrs W. G. Witte and Miss Small contributed items. Competitions for next month are butter toffee and the best chrysanthemum.
The hostesses were the Gebbie's Valley-Teddington and Charteris Bay members. A vote of thanks was passed to the Misses and Mr Bradley for their hospitality.
