London's county hall, which cost £4,000,000, is no longer large enough to house the staff of the London County Council. This numbers 4000 officials.
The payment of £250,000 has been made to shareholders of co-operative dairy companies in Taranaki for supplies during October. The monthly payment shows a substantial increase over that for the corresponding period of last year, although production in most parts of the province is considerably less than that of last year. The companies are advancing up to Is Id a pound butterfat.
