Here are some of the things that are happening:— A demonstration is to be given at Croydon shortly of a new beam system which is claimed to be infallible. By the beam system the pilot will wear a pair of headphones. If the air liner is on its proper course he will hear a regular pattern of Morse i code dot-and-dash notes. But if he
is off the route the sounds will change until he readjusts his course. Next spring the first pick-a-back 'plane is to, have its trials before being handed over to Imperial Airways for the Atlantic service. A heavilyloaded seaplane is lifted into the air by a large flying-boat and then released. An Air Ministry mission just back from Newfoundland recommends
