R.S.A. BALL

AT DUNSANDEL NEXT THURSDAY.

The combined Springs, Ellesinere and Dunsandel branches of the Returned Soldiers' Association have arranged to hold their annual ball in the Dunsandel Town Hall next Thursday evening, and reports to hand indicate that the function is likely to be a huge success. At a meeting of the committee and officials held on Wednesday evening, final details were arranged and the reports received from all sources were most encouraging. Loyal support was assured in correspondence received from the branches at Southbridge and Springston.

Music will be provided by the Erica Orchestra, and the supper arrangements, are in the hands of the Red Cross branch. There will be a euchre tournament in the anteroom. Included in \he programme are lucky spot and Monte Carlo dances for good prizes. Exhibition dances will also be given by Christchurch visitors.

Arrangements have been made with Day's Motors to run a special 'bus from Southbridge, travelling via Leeston, leaving Southbridge at 7.30 p.m. The fare is only 1/- return, and already many seats have been booked. No effort is being spared to make this the most successful ball yet held by the combined R.S.A. branches. Messrs R. F. Pilkington and D. N. Eddy are the joint secretaries.
