THE FOOTBALL CLUB.
A general meeting of the Dunsandel Football Club was held in the Public Hall on Tuesday evening, when the president, Mr W. C. Bicheno, presided over an attendance of ten. members. v Mr A. A. Macpherson tendered his
resignation as secretary, and Mr J. H. Dark was elected to fill the vacancy. Mr H. A. Brown was appointed selector vice. Mr Macpherson. A lengthy discussion took place regarding the filling of positions, in the playing teams. It was decided that those present canvass for players, the names to be handed to the secretary not later than 7 p.m. on Friday. In the event of insufficient players being forthcoming, the selectors were given authority to instruct the subunion delegates in the matter of requesting the sub-union to alter the nomination of teams in the competition by withdrawing one team if necessary. Several members were of the opinion that one team should be j Withdrawn, in order to arouse competition for positions in the remaining team. ' Mr J. W. Calder was nominated by the club for the position of sole selector for Ellesmere. A refreshment committee was appointed to attend to the boiling of the copper when entertaining teams on the-home ground. '~ The captain of each team was instructed to collect a fee of sixpence from each player towards afternoon tea. The secretary was instructed to write to the local Ladies' Hockey Club thanking them _■ for supplying cups for the use of players. A recommendation was made that the committee organise a function to raise funds for transport purposes. A transport committee was appointed to consist of the president, captain and vice-captain of each team and the secretary, to arrange for cars each Saturday.
