RECENT GARDEN PARTY.

A very satisfactory financial result was obtained from the garden party held at "Southwood" in aid of the funds of the Dunsandel Presbyterian Church. The competitions received good patronage throughout the afternoon, and the results are as follows: Lamb weight judging: Mesdames N. Capel and G. J. Walker and Miss R. Stainger all put in the correct weight 1081bs. Cake weight judging: Mrs E. A. Washbourne put in the correct weight, 131bs. 9oz. The Rev. W. G. Hannah won the croquet competition with a score of 27. The treasure hunt, which created a great deal of interest and excitement; was won by Miss A. Macpherson. No one guessed the correct name of the doll, and so it was sold. The winners of the lamb handed the prize back and it was sold to further augment the funds.
