PERSONAL

Dr. Phillips, schools medical officer, visited Southbridge and Little Rakaia Schools this week. Mr A. McPherson, of Southbridge, is at present an inmate of a private hospital at Christchurch. Constable L. Adams and Mrs Adams are at present visiting the former's parents at Southbridge. The many friends of Mr Joseph Hampton, of Little Rakaia, will be sorry to hear that he is at present seriously indisposed. At last meeting of the Board of Managers of St. John's Presbyterian Church, votes of sympathy were passed to Mr A. McPherson in his illness, to Mr John Lilley in his recent accident, also to Mrs Greenall and Miss Lewis in their recent bereavement.
