There was a brief discussion re garding the drain on Lakeside road near the Board's boundary. . The chairman reported that the drain had been cleaned out.
Cmr. Lyons urged that the Board should not clean out the drain beyond the boundary. Beyond that point, he said, the responsibility rested with the County Council.
Cmr. Rowell said that the drain was not cut by a local body and that lie considered that the responsibility rested with the adjoining landowners. He thought that the work could be done by relief workers.
Cmr. Free said that there would be no trouble so long as the drain was kept clean.
Discussion lapsed without any decision being reached. Accounts amounting to £217 were passed for payment.
