SCHOOL CARD TOURNAMENT.

Another card tournament organised by the School Committee was held in the Doyleston Hall last Saturday, and was the most successful held this season. Every table in the supper room was occupied and a very enjoyable evening was spent. After the cards an excellent supper was served by members of the committee. The chairman, Mr Geo. Bray, on behalf of the School Committee, thanked all present for their assistance in making the evening such a successful one, and announced that the committee had decided to hold a similar function in a fortnight's time. In the ladies' section Miss Maw and Miss Hints gained most points and in the men's section Mr A. Boyce and Mr Geo. Bray were the successful players. Consolation prizes were won by Mrs D. Vince and Mr R. Payne.
