FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL.

On Friday afternoon the Lincoln schoolboys played Halswell at the Lincoln Recreation ground and a keen and interesting game resulted in a win for Halswell by 14 points to 13. Mr D. R. Blythe was referee.

The Lincoln girls' basketball team played Rolleston at Lincoln on Saturday and was successful in winning by 11 goals to 1. Miss A. Moreland was referee.

The Lincoln senior and junior football team played Southbridge on Saturday and both teams were defeated by 11 points to 0 and 9 points to 0 respectively.
