PARTY AT LEESTON
PLEASANT TIME SPENT.
A very pleasant evening was spent on Monday night at the residence of Mr and Mrs J. -Jackman, in honour of Miss C. Teale. The granary was gaily decorated for the party and cards and dancing were indulged in. Spirited music added to- the festive occasion and to the enjoyment of the
guests,
Items were rendered by the following: Recitation, Miss S. Johnstone; duet, Misses Brizzle and Woodard. Mr I. Corkjll played several wellknown airs on his steel guitar, the guests joining in a community sing. A dainty supper was served and the evening was brought to a close by the
singing of Auld Lang Syne,
