COW'S FALSE TEETH.

, One was inclined to accept with the proverbial grain of salt recent ican reports of a horse fitted with a set of false teeth, and of cows fitted with dark glasses for better milking results, but, according to one of the Sydney papers, New South Wales can also provide an extraordinary case of animal surgery. In this case, however, Strawberry was fitted, not with a pair of dark horn-rimmed spectacles, but with a;brand-new set of molars. A dentist at Bondi—a suburb of Sydney, noted for its surfing beach and for its gay, Continental air at night along its fine beach promenade—was entrusted recently with the task of making the cow—a prize animal—a false set of teeth, according to the paper which reveals this somewhat freakish bit of surgery. The set was made and fitted into the animal's jaw without any ill effects, it is stated. Cows are no more immune from toothache or the torture of teeth extraction, than humans, according to one of the professors of the Veterinary Research School at Sydney University.
