TENNIS CLUB'S BAZAAR

"attraction of the week.

AMBITIOUS OBJECTIVE AHEAD!

Frequent as the Leeston Bowling, Tennis aiids Croquet Club's appeals to the public have been in the past, there is relief in the fact that the monster bazaar to be held this week is intended to be the final of them. With the knowledge that if the goal .is reached on this occasion there need be no further efforts of the kind, those in charge of the bazaar have been spurred to a supreme endeavour to assure its success. -

The past month or two has been occupied with intensified energy in collecting a large quantity of bazaar merchandise, with the result that all stalls will open with overflowing stocks.

The days of session are Friday and Saturday. Business will be set *n* motion on Friday afternoon at half-past two, when Mr J. Heslop, county chair : man, will declare the bazaar open. The public is advised to make an early vis!it. . * .

So many, are the contrivances arranged for the amusement of customers that there can be no lagging of interest at any period. In v fact, it would be impossible for anyone to notice every salesman who desires his attention, when many are endeavouring to attract him at the same time. Between one stand and another, he will be kept persistently engaged.

Among the special attractions are Highland dancing and pipe music* a physical culture display on Friday night and a boxing contest on Satifrday. Competitions will be numerous and the drawing of results, which will occupy both nights, will keep investors on the tip-toe of expectancy.

The Club requires the money it is hoped to raise for the reduction or total extinction of its bank overdraft, incurred when the new tennis courtswere laid. It claims the support of residents of township and countryside in jthis grand final appeal, and If hara work and constant solicitation count for anything, it has deserved what it

claims,
