M_t. GILBERT HAMPTON'S STOCK
GOOD PRICES REALISED,
The clearing sale of live and dead stock conducted at Leeston on Tuesday, by the National Mortgage and Agency Co., on behalf of Mr Gilbert Hampton, "Llangwarren," attracted a very large attendance. Competition throughout was particularly keen and very .satisfactory prices were received for the horses, cattle, sheep, farm implements and sundries. For many years Mr. Hampton has been known as a breeder of particularly good working Clydesdales, and for the horses auctioned on Tuesday the following prices were realised: 5 year mares £62 and £51, 7 year
gelding £51, 5 year geldings £54 and £48, brood mares £40 and £47/10/-, 2 year filly (unbroken) £42, 3 year filly £32, yearling filly £15. Other sales of interest were: Binder £36, drill £35/10/-, stacking elevator plant £40, drays with frames £25/10/- and £20, spring dray £9/10/-, harrows £6/10/----and £4/10/-, cows in profit £12 and £9/10/-, dry cows £6/17/6, 2 yearlings £3/7/6, G9'ewes and 74 lambs 21/3, 27 owes .aid 25 lambs 20/-, wool press £20.
