SPRINGSTON SOUTH

PRESENTATION TO VICAR.

The Rev. C. L. Wilson, vicar of Lincoln, who is leaving shortly for Akaroa, preached his last sermon at Springston South on September 2. The church members of the district took the opportunity of making a small presentation to him after the service. Mr Wilson has been very popular with all and his friends are exceedingly sorry

he is leaving,

Mr T. Kimber, on behalf of the parishioners of Springston Souths presented Mr Wilson with a handsome clock and said he regretted that Mr and Mrs Wilson and family were leaving, but thought when they heard the clock strike in their new home it would re: call many pleasant days they had spent among their friends in the district.

Mr P. V. Bailey also spoke in glowing terms of good work both Mr and Mrs Wilson had done during the last

five years,

Mr Wilson suitably . responded, and after all had partaken of supper, a pleasant gathering closed.
