PUBLIC NOTICES. ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL. IN THE MATTER of "The Counties Act, 1920," "The Local Bodies loans Act, 1926" and "The Local Legislation Act, 1927." IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the Ellesmere County Council desires to obtain the consent o£she Ratepayers of that part of the Elksmere County particularly described in subsection (7) of Section 8 of "The Local Legislation Act, 1927" (the sanction of the Local Bodies Loans Board having been obtained and/the consent of the, Governor in Council to be obtained) to the raising of a Special Loan of £500, part of a joint special loan of the aggregate amount of £1,000 in union with the Selwyn County Council, to be called the Dunsandel Public Hall and Library Special Loan, 1928, of £500: 1. That the particular purposes for which the loan is required are as follows: x--2. The acquisition of the piece of land described in Subsection (8) of Section 8 of the Local' Legislation Act, 1927, and of erecting thereon a Public Hall and Library for the use and,benefit of the inhabitants of that part of the Ellesmere County described in subsection (7) of the said Section 8 and for expending the said sum of £500 in or about the acquisition of the said land and the erection of the said Public Hall and Library thereon: 3: -It is proposed that the currency of the said loan shall be for the period of 33 years. 4. That the interest on the said loan* shall be at the rate not exceeding £5 15s per cent, per annum. 5. The proposed security for the interest on the said Loan and provision for a sinking fund for repayment of the same of not less than £1 5s per cent, per annum is a Special Rate of 1-22 of a penny in the £ on the capital value of all rateable land in the said part of the County. 6. It is not proposed to pay out of the said Loan the cost of raising the same and the interest and sinking fund. Dated this 24th day of September, 1928. J. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that a Poll of the Ratepayers in the part of the Ellesmere County hereinbefore referred to will be taken on the aforesaid proposal on THURSDAY, 25th October, 1928. The Polling Place will be situated in the Dunsandel Hall, Dunsandel. The hours of polling will be from 9 o'clock in the forenoon to 6 o'clock in the afternoon of that day. J.
