Q. —What kind of wire should I usa for my earth lead? i A.—A fairly thick wire, painted at the end to resemble an earth worm, makes an artistic and natural earth. Q. —In the absence of a water pipe, what do you advise me to do? A.—Complain to the local water suppiy authorities. ! Q. —What is a counterspotrse ? , [A —A capacity earth. | Q. —How deep should I bury my earth? I A—As deep as you can, so that the high frequency resistance will be as low as possible. Q —Do I require any special kind of earth with a frame? A.—lt all depends what you want to ! grow in the frame. Q. —What is the best thing to do with a poor earth? A.—Bury it out of sight. Q.—What happens if I use my earth as an aerial? A.—Nothing, generally. Q. —How long should an earth be? A. —Just long enough to reach from the earth plate to the receiving set. If it falls short of this length it will not be efficient.
